Well well well . . . don't you love it when your local small town gossip takes on a national angle? Of course we all do - but this is a good one, seems that one of the guys involved with saving the Flyers, our local SJIHL team, Richard Brozinski (who has recently resigned his position with the team), is in fact the guy in this article from CTV news.

You've got to love it when the man soliciting funds from local businesses to save a local hockey team may or may not be operating under an alias, wanted by Quebec Police (one can only assume that if he's wanted in Quebec he has to be a biker because we all know how much they love the outlaw bikers and their street wars in la belle Provence) and have ties to Karla Homolka and in Canada being associated with Homolka is like being in bed with the Devil who may or may not be Paul Bernardo.

I guess I'll have to look into the back issue of the Bulletin (see photo on page 8) where they talk about the plan to save the Flyers and compare the small grainy photo from the CTV article with the larger grainy photo from the paper to see if there's any resemblance between the two guys. What do you think?

I can't vouch for the accuracy but the person who told me about it assures me that it came from their number one supplier of all the local hot goss. Accurate or not I'm sure people will be talking about this around coffee machines all over town and it is a good story - definitely something to jabber about hunched over your cup of Robin's coffee, while waiting in line at the post office or while trying to find an unbruised onion at the local grocery store.

We are currently having some trouble with him here in Winnipeg. He is a tenant of ours and are currently pursuing an eviction for multiple reason, fruad being one of them.
We are currently piecing together background information on our case against him.

His latest address is 407-478 river ave winnipeg, mb. He was also at 727 Rathgar winnipeg,mb. Operating a home renovations company out of Winnipeg called Flatlanders contracting or Flatlanders something. Takes his business web page down and changes phone numbers and license plates when the heat turns up. Drives a red Explorer. His helper Shane drives an Alero or a variation of. He is frauded my parents on renovation work.
Richard Brozinski's address at 407-478 River ave. in Winnipeg is a box number at a UPS Store and not his real home address. He does not live at 727 Rathgar any more, as he moved out in Feb, 2009.
He is still up to his scam tricks, as I have heard a few stories in the last couple months. Once I have legal documents in order I will have more to mention here.
But if there are any more stories of this guy either as Richard Brozinski or Richer Lapointe, please keep posting them. Or if you know his location, would be a bonus for a few people.
One thing I can mention is his company name of Flatlanders has now changed to Aspire Home Renovations, Aspire Painting Company, Aspire Pro Services, RBC Painting, Up Drywall. Non of these business names are registered nor are they registered at BBB. Flatlanders is, but I don't think he is using that name at all now.

He is currently in Alberta under the name Richard B Martin rubbing crazy scams! The guys gotten smarter. Hes got Multiple business partners in Edmonton and Calgary all running scams of their own. He's embezzled Hinds of thousands. And still get away with it....In believable!
